  • SINCE ITS INTRODUCTION over 10 years ago, the two-person Allak has been one of our most popular tents. For 2019, we are introducing a three-person version, the Allak 3, and renaming the original model the Allak 2. Both remarkably light yet impressively strong Allak models are well-suited for anything from summer paddling to winter ski mountaineering, and from year-round backpacking to all-season peak bagging. They are easily light enough for mobile journeys, where you move your camp every day, and their two-entrance construction allows for superb ventilation options in warm weather. At the same time, the Allak's three-pole dome structure is strong enough for summer or winter base camp use in all but the worst conditions, and the fully freestanding construction make it ideal for tough pitching conditions, such as rocky ground and sand. In addition, its two integrated vestibules are set parallel to the sleeping area, giving excellent access to gear storage space as well as ease of entry and exit. Since its introduction, paddlers have valued the Allak’s ability to be pitched nearly anywhere, while backpackers choose it for its roomy stability and light weight. Mountaineers appreciate both the Allak’s freestanding design, compact footprint, and its roominess, as well as its ability to deal with snow loading. And taller adventurers find its length a welcome comfort.

    Be careful, not for strong chewers
    Sad to give a 1-star review on these bones, I had such high hopes. They’re a great size and design, and my dog was excited to get one when I gave it to her… until I happened to look down at her, having just given her the toy moments before, and she had chewed off a large chunk and was trying to ingest it! Fortunately I caught this and was able to get it out of her mouth before she swallowed it. My girl loves chewing on toys like this but I guess she’s too aggressive of a chewer for these(?) though she’s NEVER chewed a piece off of a toy before. Sadly this bone, and the remaining two in the bag, went in the trash.

    Good, But Not Suitable for Aggressive Chewers.
    I recently ordered the Chewzzle TPR Dog Chew Bones (3-pack) and overall, they’re a good option for light to moderate chewers. The colors are bright and fun, and the textured surface seems to help with gentle teeth cleaning, which is a nice bonus. The material feels flexible yet durable enough for casual chewing sessions. My dog was immediately interested in them and got to chewing. That said, these are definitely not suitable for aggressive chewers like mine. He had ripped and bit off pieces in a matter of mins. If your dog tends to tear through toys quickly or has a strong bite, these likely won’t hold up for long. They’re better suited for small to medium dogs that enjoy softer chew toys rather than heavy-duty ones. For the price, it’s a fair value as long as you’re buying with the right expectations. Great for light chewers, but not the best choice if you need something truly tough or long-lasting.

    Great set! 6 weeks in and we still use everything in this pack daily
    Got this snuggle puppy set for my 10wo Goldendoodle. I gave it to her after she’d been with me (and away from her litter) for about 2 weeks, so she actually didn’t like the heartbeat, but she LOVED the pup, which was bigger than her when I got it. One particularly cold night, I stuffed glove warmers in the heart pocket for extra warmth (I don’t like to run the heat too much as it affects my sinuses). She snuggled right up to it. The shape and softness makes it her favorite sleeping companion, no matter what position she’s sleeping in. She’s now 16w and still loves this puppy, even though she’s much bigger than it now. This puppy is holding up to her mouthing/teething stage and I’ve found it easy to keep clean. She loved the wabble ball stuffed with a little kibble, but quickly mastered it. The lick mats have been a lifesaver and are used daily in this house. Love that I have a spatula just for her and they’re pretty easy to clean. This is an excellent value for what you get!
